Our Story

From scratch since 2000

Sals Famous started in the small town of Gibbons, Alberta — family-owned, family-run, and feeding the community ever since. We never chased trends; we just make great food the way we always have.

Our dough is hand-pressed fresh on-site every single day, our produce hand-picked and chopped daily, and every recipe — from our signature pizza spice to our sauces — is 100% original.

Since day one we've partnered with Canadian dairy and produce farmers, sourcing meats, cheese and vegetables locally — and our bread is delivered fresh every week from a local Italian bakery. That's the whole secret: honest ingredients, original recipes, and fresh, authentic flavour in every bite.

What are your hours?
Open daily, 11am to 10pm. Hours may vary during holidays or maintenance — call ahead if you are unsure.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Order online for delivery anywhere in Gibbons — a flat $4 fee, $20 minimum order. We also deliver to Bon Accord and out of town, including acreages and the power plants; those runs are booked over the phone at 780 923 2144 rather than online, because the fee depends on distance.
Do you deliver to Bon Accord?
Yes. Bon Accord deliveries are arranged by phone — call 780 923 2144 and we will confirm the delivery fee for your address.
Can I order online?
Yes, at salsfamous.com — pickup or delivery, paid by card. Orders over $150 are booked by phone so we can plan the kitchen around them.
Do you have dine-in seating?
Yes. There is seating in the restaurant and parking on site.
Do you take reservations?
No — seating is first come, first served. For a large group or an event, call us and we will help you plan it.
Do you cater?
Yes. We cater parties, staff lunches, team meals and events of most sizes. Call 780 923 2144 to talk it through and we will build a quote around your headcount.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes. The Vegetarian pizza and calzone, cheese pizza, Mac N Cheese, mac n' cheese bites, mozza sticks, garlic fingers, fries, tater tots and onion rings are all meat-free, and any pizza or calzone can be built without meat. Please note our poutine is made with beef gravy, and the lasagna and spaghetti are both made with our meat sauce — those are not vegetarian.
Do you have gluten-free options?
No — we do not currently offer a gluten-free crust or menu. Please let us know about allergies when you order and we will tell you honestly what is safe.
Is the food halal?
No, our meat is not halal certified.
